Today we started off with our spelling list: berry, elbow, joy, quiet, better, warthog, elsewhere, quilt, keep, try, pretzel, guitar, eighteen, pushes and tipped.
We looked more into conservation and talked about extinct and endangered animals. Liltle Miss 8 started work on a project about Amur Leopards. We talked more about natural resources - both renewable and non-renewable and looked at some related videos on BrainPop to help cement in the knowledge.
We started work on decimals - relating fractions to decimals and writing decimals to the hundredths.
A good learning day in all.
We continued on with decimals and looked at comparing and ordering decimals. Little Miss 8 completed her fractions and decimals test scoring 87% overall. We then talked about Scandinavia and we finished the day on a World In Spatial Terms test in which she received 75%.
Today we looked at common sayings and phrasings and studied aspects of the Northern Territory in Australia. We studied their flag, animals and flowers.
We did our weekly spelling challenge scoring 12/15 and Little Miss 8 rocked an awesome presentation on the Amur Leopard. We also looked at author's purpose in writing and completed our Science Cause and Effect Chapter test in which she scored 94%.
