Living a life that inspires others can often be daunting but it can also be one of the most rewarding things to do. Imagine being responsible for changing someone else’s life for the better. For giving someone else hope that there is light at the end of the very dark tunnel.
Sometimes all it takes is to read about someone else’s journey through life, to put your life into perspective and to give you a new outlook and rejuvenate a lagging spirit. When you see that others have triumphed through tragedy and heartache you realise that you can overcome even the greatest obstacles.
An inspiring group of 38 female entrepreneurs, including International Best Selling Author Dr Madisen Harper, have recently come together to produce an eBook that gives you a look into their lives.
They share their stories of love, loss and life and give hope for a brighter future. These amazing women are all contributing authors in the newest release book, “SHINE…it’s like glitter for your soul”. The book was compiled by Kathie Holmes of Creative Ability Network and is the first book in the SHINE BRIGHT series of books. Click here to download your Kindle copy of SHINE.

When I was at school I wanted to be a writer, I imagined myself as a combination of Jo from Little Women and Jane Eyre, writing every day while sitting under an apple tree.
As sometimes happens life got in the way and I did various things including nursing, having some wonderful jobs in the corporate world and then after becoming a mother I moved into the community and disability world.
Of course I wrote reports and funding submissions, however something inside me yearned to write so I finally did it.
In 2009 I wrote a short book on relationship tips entitled "How To Have A Great Relationship: 96 Tips For Turning A Healthy Relationship Into The Perfect Relationship" and had it published on Amazon both as a soft cover "real" book and an e-book.
I was so excited and pleased with myself but I only told my husband and son and a couple of close friends. Looking back I think it was about not feeling comfortable "blowing my own trumpet".
In another way it was a delicious secret I carried around with me.
Eventually I told a few more people, meanwhile without any promotion whatsoever I was selling a few copies of both the soft cover book and the e-book each month.
The excitement of having people that had never heard of me buying my book was thrilling.
I am looking forward to contributing to Michelle's latest project "Love Alters" - my journey as a writer continues.

Seeing your name in print, in reality, is not as complicated as it sounds, particularly when it comes to publishing your own e-book on Amazon.
Most of us have something to say about one topic or another and sometimes the difficult part can be just getting some words down on paper. Once you start doing this, generally the words will start to flow and you will find you have enough content to start planning a book in its entirety.
I always recommend having someone proofread or edit your work because it is so easy to miss an error or two, particularly when you have been staring at the same text for the last week straight. A fresh eye over the content will be able to pick up any glaringly obvious errors you have made and it will just help fine-tune those problem areas which you aren’t 100% happy about. But let’s face it, when are we completely happy with our work? Sometimes you just have to get to a stage where you feel you have the done the best you can possibly do and move on to the next part of the process.
The publishing process for many can be a little tricky especially for those attempting it for the first time. I recommend having an error free manuscript formatted to the Kindle standard, cover image complete with book title and author name, book description, an idea of the publication price, a brief author biography and a selection of keywords to enable your customers to find you, prior to publication. Once you have these things prepared you are ready to upload your e-book, and within 24 hours (all being well), you will find that you have become a published author and are well on your way to selling a book or two.
For many business owners, finding time to do much of this process can be tricky and that’s where I come in. Whether you are looking for someone to write, edit or proofread your work, I am here to assist. If you have a completed e-book that you are looking to publish, I am more than happy to upload it to Amazon and I will even write the description, create the cover image and do whatever else is necessary to complete the task.
One of the many things that I get pleasure out of is seeing my client’s name in print, particularly on such formidable sites as Amazon.com. A solid body of work available for sale the world over allows you to really showcase your talent and cements you as an expert in your own field.
Social media, Facebook, E-books, Travel, Lifestyle, Business, Blogging; you name it we talk about it.
