We moved the mattresses into our new abode Peruvian-style (on top of a taxi) and picked up a few odds and ends to make our new apartment liveable. As we are very used to living out of one room due to hotel living, we are somehow able to make do with very little.
The landlords were kind enough to give us a dining table and chairs so as long as we can eat and sleep - we are good to go!
The kids are very happy having their "own space" however for whatever reason they seem to be invading my space A LOT - maybe because they are not so used to being more than a few steps away from me at any given time.
While Little Master 3 does wander into my bedroom on most nights, there has been a couple of nights where he has slept right through in his bed - so this I am very happy about.
And of course Little Miss 8 loves the fact that she close the door on her brother!
The kids are very happy with our local park as it features some very cool looking slides and we are just walking distance from a decent coffee shop and the supermarket. The market is only a cab ride away so as long as I plan all my purchases at once then I can save on the fares which can start to add up after a while.
However this is the part of life I am used to, as my kids never like to walk too far for too long and taking a taxi is just our way of surviving and getting through the day in one piece!
Little Master 3 is happy to hear the airplanes which fly nearby however unfortunately for him our apartment is facing the wrong way and he can't actually see them from here.
There are some viewing seats nearby so we might take him there so he can sit and watch the airplanes arrive and depart - he loves his vehicles and transportation that is for sure!
Matt is very busy working and for 6 out of 7 days starts work at 7.00am - there is NO WAY I could do that but he is used to working crazy hours and gets up far earlier than me on a good day. He is working 7 days a week so getting away for any trips will prove difficult unless it is a half day trip or he takes some extended leave.
