Yesterday we went to the Ccocohahuansi Animal Sanctuary on the way to Pisac and the kids (and the adults loved it).
There were huge condors, pumas, parrots and alpacas which were all rescued and helped on the way to full health and recovery by the amazing team working at the centre.
Today we went to the local zoo and were greeted with even more interesting animals including the spectacled bears (otherwise known as Paddington the bear from Peru), a toucan, an ocelot, condors, a llama and some extremely cheeky spider monkeys.
Kids and animals - always a great combination to make for an enjoyable morning or afternoon day trip.
And because we have not quite had our animal fill yet - we might even make our way to the Awana Cancha - a weaving centre tomorrow to see how they do the weaving by hand and visit more vicunas, alpacas and llamas.
